Our Mission
The City of Waycross Engineering Division is responsible for programming, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of the city’s primary infrastructure including but not limited to city pavements and sidewalks, storm drainage, water production and distribution, waste-water collection and treatment, traffic signals, signage and public buildings.

The Engineering Division also provides technical support to other city departments and citizens to include environmental permitting, traffic engineering, street lighting, street/alley closings, annexations, computer-aided drafting, mapping and geographical information system development.

An Engineering Technician and Soil Erosion & Storm-water Permitting Administer performs technical engineering work in support of the Engineering and Water & Sewer department including, but not limited to: oversight and inspection of construction, improvement and development projects; local environmental permitting & enforcement; computer-aided drafting of engineering plans, drawings, maps & exhibits; & a variety of related field & technical engineering services for the City Engineer.

Water & Sewer Project Manager – ESG Operations, Inc.

The Water & Sewer Department supplies high-quality water and provides state-of-the-art wastewater collection and treatment for the City of Waycross. This department is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all water mains, service lines, valves and fire hydrants within the City limits. The department is also responsible for the wastewater collection system City of Waycross including sewer mains, service lines, manholes, pumping stations, and treatment facilities. It implements the City’s industrial pretreatment program and supports comprehensive planning for future needs. The Water and Sewer Department Office is located at 512 Alice Street.
